Job Description:

Job Purpose: The purpose of the position is to safely apply products to a wide range of crops and sites while safely operating and maintaining company equipment. This includes building and maintaining customer relations through expert application of Crop Protection and fertilizer products and providing feedback to customers, location managers of weeds, insects or fertility problems that they note during application.

 

The following duties and responsibilities reflect the essential functions of the position:

  • Load, handle and apply dry and liquid fertilizer, lime, and crop protection products.
  • Understand and safely operate the application equipment assigned.
  • Utilize the information supplied and the technology in the application equipment to ensure that the right products at the right rates are applied and billed to the right fields and customers.
  • Assist in the mixing, loading, unloading and transporting of Crop Protection and fertilizer products.
  • Consistently follows all laws, regulations, safety rules (including PPE) in handling and applying products and storing chemicals.
  • Assist with the maintenance of equipment and facility.
  • Maintain positive communication with the manager and customer as needed.
  • Assist with scouting, product transportation and various services for producers.
  • Properly complete necessary paperwork and records.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned
  • Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
  • Assist as needed in other area during the peak seasons, or anytime there is a need in other departments that may not be related to application.

 

Experience and Skills:

The following qualifications and requirements reflect the ideal candidate.

  • Class A or B CDL a plus or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Applicators license a plus or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Operate various types of application equipment and mechanically inclined.
  • Be familiar with crop protection products, farming practices, crop characteristics, and weed identifications.
  • Have an understanding of safe working conditions and operations of vehicles.
  • Be willing and able to work extended hours six or seven days a week during busy seasons
  • Be willing and able to work well with others, to take and give constructive criticism, and to lend a helping hand.
  • Must continue to grow and learn through meetings, training, industry publications, and others.
  • Possess the willingness to adapt to changing application technologies as well as seasonal variations in workload responsibilities.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Accurately locate application site, use GPS system and read field maps.
  • Excellent driving record
  • Selected candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including a good driving record.

Hours:

  • Depends on job type, but generally day shift, some Saturdays and Sunday required April-July. Work beyond scheduled hours required during peak season.

Job Description:

Responsible for maintenance, servicing and assembling of grain handling and storage equipment.
The following duties and responsibilities reflect the essential functions of the position:

• Use hand and power tools to assemble, install and repair grain,  feed handling and storage equipment.
• Mostly stick welding and  fabricating.
• Must be able to work at heights up to 200 feet.
• Work full-time, year round.
• Assist as needed in other area during the peak seasons, or anytime there is a need in other departments that may not be related to millwright work.

Experience and Skills:
• CDL Class A preferred.
•.Natural mechanical ability
• Mathematical skills, including measurements and volume metric conversions.
• Ability to read and understand maps, directions, schematics and product guides.  
• Ability to operate skid steer, tow motor and other loading equipment.

Hours:
• Regular hours: Monday – Friday, 8-5.  Peak season hours:  Monday – Saturday, 7-9.  Overnight travel for        some equipment jobs required.  Overtime as needed.

Job Description:

Job Purpose: This position is expected to perform all operations tasks involving the receiving, storing, and shipping of grain.

The following duties and responsibilities reflect the essential functions of the position:

  • Perform all tasks involved with inbound grain receiving. Duties include efficient operation of the truck and wagon dump(s), proper routing of grain from the dumps to the assigned bin, traffic control.
  • Perform all tasks involved with inbound and outbound grain shipping and handling.
  • Efficiently operate all facility equipment, such as grain dryers, cleaners, conveyors, receiving legs, and aeration fans.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks with minimal supervision
  • Engage in facility clean-up, and comply with all housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Engage in safety awareness, and comply with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in teamwork and a positive image of the cooperative, while being responsive to the needs of our customers.
  • Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
  • Assist as needed in other area during the peak seasons, or anytime there is a need in other departments that may not be related to the grain handling.

 

Experience and Skills:

The following qualifications and requirements reflect the ideal candidate.

  • Previous experience in a grain elevator or farm setting is beneficial, but not required
  • Demonstrated attitude which reflects pride in job, and spirit of cooperation with the team.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work at heights, work within confined spaces, climb stair and ladders, and function in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability and willingness to work long hours and nights, as business conditions warrant.
  • Vision requirements: Ability to see color, see at a distance and tiny objects at close range.
  • Selected candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including a good driving record.

Job Description:

Job Purpose: The following duties and responsibilities reflect the essential functions of the position:

• Transport, maneuver, load, unload and deliver grain and products to customers
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operate truck in accordance to established safety procedures.
• Applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations to transport and deliver products.
• Inspect truck before and after trip and notify shop mechanic of necessary repairs.
• Fasten chain or binders to secure load on trailer when needed.
• Load and unload truck, or assist with as necessary.
• Perform light maintenance, including oil, fuel and radiator fluid service.
• Maintain communication with and receive direction from Logistics Manager.
• Maintain appropriate log, ELD and inspection records, as required by DOT.
• Complete paperwork for internal purposes.
• Keep truck clean, inside and out.
• Assist at the facility as needed in other area during the peak seasons, or anytime there is a need in other departments that may not be related to driving.
• Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Experience and Skills:
The following qualifications and requirements reflect the ideal candidate.
• Class A or B CDL, depending on application, with acceptable driving history.
• Tanker endorsement mandatory
• Must pass internal driving test/road test as mandated by the DOT
• Territory and agriculture knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Bending and climbing in and out of the truck.
• Selected candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including a good driving record.
